The Huggies Little Bundle of Laughs Night

Tue Aug 10th 2010
Jessica is going to be taking part in the Huggies Little Bundle of Laughs Night on the 10th August 2010 here are the details!
Ardal O'Hanlon, Jessica Hynes & Kerry Godliman in exclusive stand up comedy night for expectant mums and dads!
The Leicester Square Theatre
Main House
Dates: 10 August
Show Time: 8pm:
Prices From: £15
Comedians Ardal O'Hanlon, Jessica Hynes and Kerry Godliman will be taking to the stage to talk pregnancy, birth and babies at an exclusive stand up gig in London.
Father Ted's Ardal O'Hanlon, and Jessica Hynes, from Spaced and The Royle Family, will treat the audience to the mother of all comedy nights, on what for many might be the last night out before the baby arrives.
There'll be gags galore, as the pair, both parents themselves, give their unique take on the trials and tribulations of being an expectant or new parent. They'll also be joined by rising star, Kerry Godliman, who recently appeared on Michael McIntyre's Comedy Road Show and on Home Time on BBC2.
Jessica comments: "The whole experience of having a baby is a bit like a stand up night for a comedian - exciting, scary, and full of noisy surprises! But it's not just an amazing experience, it's also a great source of material and it'll brilliant to be able to share it with mums to be and new mums who'll know exactly what I'm talking about."

Skydive!!!
Jessica is doing a skydive for the wonderful children's charity Action For Children in 16 days!
Here is the Virgin Money Giving for Jessica and please, please give as much as you can!
"I have been involved with action for children for a few years now. I say 'involved', I have had the pleasure of invites to great fun events where I have met lovely people, been wined and dined and had the thrill of an exclusive audience watching the BUDDIES perform! I have been on Celebrity 'Who wants to be a millionaire' Where I raised £25,000, it would have been 50,000 if ONLY I'd rung Will Rayner my VERY clever friend. Frankly Action For Children has given me far more than I have given them so I thought it was time to put my money where my mouth was. In approximately three weeks time I will be jumping out of a plane, with my new friend Tamar, to raise money for my charity, Action For Children, who work tirelessly to help vunerable and negelcted children across Great Britain. The purpose is to raise money for this charity to whom I am devoted, and to encourage others to Take Your Action For Children!! I am eternally grateful for your support and sponsorship, and for taking the time to give whatever you can. THANKYOU!!!!!"

Lizzie And Sarah

Jessica's new pilot with the amazing comedy star Julia Davis is set to air this Saturday night!
"Lizzie and Sarah are two fiftysomething suburban housewives, perpetually mistreated and ignored by unloving, selfish husbands. The highlight of their otherwise dull lives is their role in an amateur dramatic society.
In the aftermath of a tragic accident which causes the death of a popular local teenager, emotions run high, and following a dismal birthday lunch for Sarah, the two friends embark on a spur-of-the-moment shopping trip. As the day unfolds, they find a way to wreak their revenge."
The new pilot written by Jessica and Julia will air at
11:45pm on BBC2 on Saturday 20th March
and will star
Julia Davis, Jessica, Kevin Eldon, Mark Heap, David Cann, Claire Rushbrook, Jessica Gunning, Stephen Evans, Lilly Ainsworth, Pravin Sunwar, Amanda Rawnsley

The Lost Explorer
According to an article in the The Observer, Sunday 21 February 2010 Jessica is to star in a new short film called The Lost Explorer.
"Following in the footsteps of Bruce Weber (Let's Get Lost), Anton Corbijn (Control) and Sam Taylor-Wood (Nowhere Boy), I hear the latest photographer to move from stills to the film camera is the extravagant Tim Walker. Known for his lavish locations and modern baroque style, Walker is shooting his film debut, a short called The Lost Explorer, based on a novel by Patrick McGrath. The film will star Toby Stephens and Jessica Hynes, as well as 14-year-old newcomer Olympia Campbell as an adolescent girl who discovers an otherworldly explorer at the end of her garden.
Walker's film is a new project for producers Rory Aitken and Ben Pugh, the team behind the impressive urban drama Shifty. After the stripped-down realism of that film, this richly imaginative work represents a new challenge for the producing duo: one scene calls for a room filled with hundreds of canaries.
Walker, who has had exhibitions of his work around the world, told me: "I've been telling stories through my still images for 15 years, and to now have the opportunity to bring these kinds of stories to life and to see them move through film is incredibly exciting."

19 November 2009 - 09 January 2010.
Here is the synopsis of the play -
"Kate is delighted when she finds a country retreat that ticks all the boxes. Gathering together a select group of her closest friends to celebrate New Year's Eve, she is keen to start 2010 afresh. Blackout - There is a killer in all of us
According to http://www.the-big-pitch.com/blackout Jessica has been cast in their new film Blackout.
"I am very excited to announce that the brilliant Jessica Hynes has agreed to play the female lead (Detective Inspector Kate Hext) in our dark gritty thriller Blackout. As both an incredibly talented writer and performer, Jessica Hynes has worked prolifically in television, film and theatre."
"Blackout
There is a killer in all of us
Blackout is a genuinely dark and realistic neo noir thriller set in the bleak and decayed Island Of Sheppey in Kent. Its plot is relentless and increasingly fast paced, flashing backwards and forwards in time, keeping the audience hooked right to the very end.
The story centres around Gary, who wakes up in the middle of a wood next to the body of a local girl, who has been brutally murdered. Unable to remember anything he attempts to flee the barren windswept island, only to discover the police are already looking for him.
Trapped and confused, Gary is forced to cover up the evidence in a desperate attempt to buy time, recall his fragmented memory and figure out what really happened. However things are much darker than he first imagined and without warning he is inexplicably drawn into a world of violence.
Meanwhile the police investigation is beginning to uncover a series of disturbing secrets that eventually leads to a shocking discovery, but by then it is too late, Gary has come face to face with his fears and is about to discover what he is truly capable of.

"I was very dismayed to see the Times article the other week, with a picture of me looking like a love-lorn twat and "It was very sad. I loved him." written beneath it. I ACTUALLY said I loved Simon AND Edgar AND Nick, or course I did, we were buddies, they went their way I accepted that and was proud. Ed Potton obviously preferred to focus on his invention of the story rather than my truth. What a prick. No way were my 'eyes welling up with tears' I never cry, ever, not since my tear ducts were cauterized in a freak accident with a precision laser. At least that's what Ed Potton said so it must be true.
Yours pissed offly,
Jessica Hynes"

The tour has been amazing, I have felt the love in a profound way and have finally resolved to give up all forms of self -harm because of it - thank you America!!
