Blackout - There is a killer in all of us

According to http://www.the-big-pitch.com/blackout Jessica has been cast in their new film Blackout.

"I am very excited to announce that the brilliant Jessica Hynes has agreed to play the female lead (Detective Inspector Kate Hext) in our dark gritty thriller Blackout. As both an incredibly talented writer and performer, Jessica Hynes has worked prolifically in television, film and theatre."

"Blackout

There is a killer in all of us

Blackout is a genuinely dark and realistic neo noir thriller set in the bleak and decayed Island Of Sheppey in Kent. Its plot is relentless and increasingly fast paced, flashing backwards and forwards in time, keeping the audience hooked right to the very end.

The story centres around Gary, who wakes up in the middle of a wood next to the body of a local girl, who has been brutally murdered. Unable to remember anything he attempts to flee the barren windswept island, only to discover the police are already looking for him.

Trapped and confused, Gary is forced to cover up the evidence in a desperate attempt to buy time, recall his fragmented memory and figure out what really happened. However things are much darker than he first imagined and without warning he is inexplicably drawn into a world of violence.

Meanwhile the police investigation is beginning to uncover a series of disturbing secrets that eventually leads to a shocking discovery, but by then it is too late, Gary has come face to face with his fears and is about to discover what he is truly capable of.

A message from Jessica

"I was very dismayed to see the Times article the other week, with a picture of me looking like a love-lorn twat and "It was very sad. I loved him." written beneath it. I ACTUALLY said I loved Simon AND Edgar AND Nick, or course I did, we were buddies, they went their way I accepted that and was proud. Ed Potton obviously preferred to focus on his invention of the story rather than my truth. What a prick. No way were my 'eyes welling up with tears' I never cry, ever, not since my tear ducts were cauterized in a freak accident with a precision laser. At least that's what Ed Potton said so it must be true.

Yours pissed offly,
Jessica Hynes"

A message from Jessica -

SORRY AUSTIN!

I'm going to have to miss the Austin spaced-a-thon. It would seem that I am jinxed - I couldn't attend the one in London because of work and commitments in London again prevent me from attending the one in Austin. I am however almost certain that I will come for the butt-numb-a-thon in december, as I am told that Austin is the best city in the WORLD. The tour has been amazing, I have felt the love in a profound way and have finally resolved to give up all forms of self -harm because of it - thank you America!!

XXXX STAY SPACED!!
