The Priory

It’s been announced that Jessica will be staring in a new play this year at the Royal Court Theatre called The Priory, written by Michael Wynne. Jessica will be staring alongside the wonderfully talented Rachael Stirling and the play will run from the 19 November 2009 – 9 January 2010.

Here is the synopsis of the play -

Kate is delighted when she finds a country retreat that ticks all the boxes. Gathering together a select group of her closest friends to celebrate New Year’s Eve, she is keen to start 2010 afresh. But successful, stressed-out thirtysomethings in search of a good time in the sticks can make for one very fearsome party…and some surprising resolutions.

Michael Wynne’s buoyant new comedy takes a microscope to modern dilemmas about life, love and retro board games.

Currently it’s not been announced what character Jessica will be playing but I’ll update the forum and the theatre section of the website as soon as I have any more information.

You can book your tickets and keep up to date with the play on the official theatre site here.

This sound so fantastic! It’s so cool that Jess has come back to the UK and is going back to the stage! Just got to start back at work and then my tickets will be booked! Who’s going? :D

This sounds very interesting. I felt pretty rubbish about not seeing The Norman Conquests so I may see if I can arrange to have a trip to London and see this one - money, time and everything else permitting that is. I'd love to see Jess in a play. Thanks for the info. :)

I'm not sure if you've seen this (I'm gussing you probably have) but I saw this photo on The Royal Court Theatre's facebook:

Also, I'd love to go (and meet up) :D but I don't really think I'll be able to. :(
